Monthly Course
Finding Your Form, a ceramics mentorship for developing your personal style
I have designed this course for ceramicists who know the basics, already make their own pieces, and feel ready to develop a more personal style.
Through a structured framework of in-studio classes, weekly prompts, and online mentoring, my aim with this course is to support you in developing and focusing your practice within a small group.
This course is ideal if you want to move beyond a hobby and develop a more dedicated and.or professional practice.

FAQ: I already have my own studio. How will the in-studio classes benefit me?
The studio classes in this course follow a specific structure designed to help you gain the focus and support needed to further explore your style. They are not intended for learning new techniques, but for developing a methodology and dedicating time to this part of your process
A deeper dive into the course
The course combines studio classes, homework prompts, a mini-masterclass and 30 minute one-on-one session online with the founder of studio ēeme to close each monthly cycle.
Each month’s prompts will highlight a different step in your creative journey: from your approach to shape and texture to your creative process.
The studio classes focus on two foundational aspects of ceramics: shape and texture. They are designed to guide you towards a more intentional practice, with a small number of participants (6 ceramicists max.), practical suggestions, and deliberate constraints.
We will also put at your disposal our library of ceramic and creative books for the time of the course.

Marie-Laure Davy, Course Designer & Studio Ēeme Founder
My practice started with vases and small sculptures, and now focuses on sconces and larger wall sculptures, mostly built from raw clay, with a limited use of decorative elements.
That creative choice put an emphasis on shape with the use of companion materials such as metal and wood, and on developing a strong intuition of each clay material through thoughtful gestures and dedicated production systems for each design.
